MintRose Designs is a calligraphy and design studio that rides on my passion to celebrate the lost art of calligraphy and penmanship in today’s digital age.

The idea behind the name of my studio is a leaf out of my fond childhood memories; my aunt bringing me rose peppermints every time she visited me. Both the lingering scent & taste of peppermints and her fond affection are a pleasant reminiscence. Through my art and calligraphy, I wish to leave behind a memory of bespoke designs with my audience.

For many years I wanted to learn calligraphy but didn't get the time due to work and also felt shy due to age. Due to the pandemic online classes were started, so I thought let's take this opportunity and learn calligraphy. I joined for devanagari and roman calligraphy then only I came to know that the calligraphy I wanted to learn was Copperplate calligraphy. Then I started searching online classes and luckily I found MintRose calligraphy classes on Instagram and liked it very much. Quickly I messaged Lakshmi ma’am and enquired about the workshop. I had contacted Lakshmi (on very short notice, mind you) to create some personalised, calligraphed Christmas cards and gift tags for friends and family.
